Hemet summers are hot, so air-conditioning drives most electric bills here, and that is exactly where properly sized solar helps. Many Hemet homes are also older, which makes the electrical panel a bigger part of the conversation than it is in newer cities.

What we do in Hemet

Older homes, panels and wiring

An older home can have a smaller or aging main panel. Before we design a solar system we check whether your panel can safely take it, and we'll tell you honestly if an upgrade to 200A makes sense first, or whether a smaller fix does the job. The same crew handles the electrical work too, so it's one project instead of two contractors.

Hemet permitting and utility

Electric service in Hemet is provided by Southern California Edison (SCE), and permits are issued by the City of Hemet. Homes just outside the city fall under Riverside County permitting. We submit the permit, handle the SCE interconnection and schedule the inspection.

Cooling costs and backup power

With high summer usage, a well-designed system can offset a large share of your bill. A Powerwall or Enphase battery adds backup for outages and lets you use your own solar into the evening. See what solar costs for how pricing works.
