What's included in a Suntrify solar install
You get one company from the first phone call to the day your system is producing. Every project includes:
- System design sized from your actual utility bills, roof layout and shading — not a template.
- A written, itemized proposal with equipment specs and a final number before you sign. The price doesn't change after the contract is executed.
- City permits and utility interconnection paperwork, submitted and tracked by us.
- Installation by our licensed crew — most residential systems are installed in a day.
- Final inspection and turn-on, including the utility's permission to operate (PTO), so you're never left with panels that aren't switched on.
Roofs and equipment we work with
Inland Empire homes come with every roof type, and we install on all of them: tile, composition shingle, flat and metal roofs. Roof condition, pitch, orientation and shade decide where panels go and how many fit.
On the electrical side, we install both Enphase microinverter systems and Tesla string-inverter systems, and we're a certified Tesla and Enphase installer. Not sure which fits? Our guide to how solar works explains the difference in plain English, and we'll recommend one for your roof during the consultation.
Solar and batteries in California today
Since April 2023, new solar customers of California's big utilities are on the net billing tariff (often called NEM 3.0), which pays less for the power you send back to the grid than the old program did. For many homes that makes it worth using more of your own solar at night — which is what a battery does. We'll show you your numbers both ways, with and without storage, so you can decide with real data. Read more in our guide to NEM 3.0 and home batteries.
Paying for solar
Homeowners pay for solar with cash or a solar loan (often with nothing down). Cash has the highest long-term savings because there's no interest; a loan spreads the cost out. We walk through both during your consultation so you can choose what fits your budget — see what solar costs for the national benchmark breakdown.

Common questions
How long does a solar installation take?
Most residential systems are fully installed within about two weeks of a signed contract, and the installation itself is typically completed in a day. Permit and utility timelines vary by city and utility.
Will my solar panels work during a power outage?
A standard grid-tied solar system shuts down during an outage for safety reasons. To keep the lights on you need a battery such as a Tesla Powerwall or an Enphase IQ Battery.
Do I need a new roof or a panel upgrade first?
Not always. We inspect your roof and your main electrical panel during the consultation and tell you up front if either needs work. Older homes sometimes need a panel upgrade; see do I need a panel upgrade for solar?.
Do you handle permits and the utility paperwork?
Yes. We submit and track city/county permits and utility interconnection, and we schedule the final inspection. You don't lift a finger.
Which areas do you serve?
We're based in Lake Elsinore and serve Riverside County, the Inland Empire and San Diego County, including Lake Elsinore, Temecula and Murrieta.
